12/01/2008 - official launch of the new lab website

04/28/2009 - Dr. Furdui receives the Distinguished Biochemistry Alumni Award from the Department of Biochemistry, University of Nebraska.

05/01/2009 - Our first NIH/NCI funded project starts. The research proposal is entitled ""Analysis of Redox Modulated Signaling Networks in Response to Ionizing Radiation” and combines multiple sets of experimental data, modeling, and theory for developing a systems-level understanding of properties and biological consequences of radiation and drug therapies in an isogenic radiation resistant model of Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck. A translational approach is proposed to dissect the mechanism of resistance to radiation therapies and identify molecular predictors of response to radiation and drug therapies so that more patient tailored therapies could be prescribed. 

06/02/2009 - Hyoung Jin Kwon, a sophomore at Emory University gets the taste of research in our laboratory through the Summer Research Opportunities Program.  

06/22/2009 - Matt Kostelic, a senior at NC State University at Raleigh starts his Summer project in the lab.
